Paulo began his career in the year of 1983 as part of Arthur Andersen’s audit and tax consulting team. In his 12 years of experience in AA’s team, he worked on several projects in the areas of tax planning, tax audits, due diligences, corporate restructuring, management consulting and appraisal of companies and assets, for clients such as Exxon, Caemi Group, Johnson Wax, Texaco, Castrol, Pepsico, and many otherBrazilian and international corporations.

In 1995, Paulo opened his own firm, ACT – Appraisals, Consulting and Taxes. Since then, with ACT acted as tax & legal consultants to companies such as Andrade Gutierrez, Camargo Corrêa, DiverseyLever, Dolphin Drilling (Fred.Olsen Energy Group), Frontier Drilling (Noble Drilling), SINTEF, Odfjell Drilling, Schlumberger, Ancar Shopping Center, Anchor Contracting, Axess do Brasil, Grant Geophysical, Great Offshore Ltd., Incasa Construções, Mills Rental, ModaMania, Norwegian Council, OSF Global Services (Canada), Roxar Inc., Scandinavian Electric Systems, Sea Ray Boats, Sevan Marine, Vik-Sandvik, Acadian (Canada) and others.

In his 37 years of consulting experience, Paulo introduced some of these companies to the Brazilian market, being responsible for the creation of the legal structure and approval of all regulatory matters. For Sevan Marine, Dolphin Drilling and Frontier Drilling, Paulo was also nominated Director for the Brazilian operation, being responsible for the administrative, financial, and legal aspects of these companies. He is currently a member of the Advisory Board of Agrotecnologia Group (Spain).
